October 2026 · Cohort of 5 to 8

GovCon Foundations

One live half-day intensive, four working modules. You finish registered, branded, and contract-ready.

Wednesday, October 21. Payment is due before the intensive.

What you walk away with

  • A completed and submitted SAM.gov registration, with NAICS and PSC codes aligned to what you actually sell.
  • A brand you can reuse. Your colors, typefaces, and tagline, documented in one place.
  • A finished capability statement, built during the program rather than left as homework you never complete.
  • A straight answer on certifications. What is worth pursuing, what is not, and what each certification actually provides.
  • A 90-day plan for finding work your business can realistically compete for and win.

Who this is for: you are starting out in government contracting, or you registered a while ago and nothing has happened since.

Who it is not for: anyone looking for a FAR course. That is not what this is.

The four working modules

01

Register and build the brand together

Entity basics, UEI and CAGE, a SAM walkthrough, NAICS and PSC selection.

Alongside it: your palette, typefaces, and tagline.

02

Your capability statement

What belongs in each zone of the page, how a contracting officer reads it, and four ways to build it.

You leave with the artifact.

03

Certifications and eligibility

WOSB, EDWOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, state-level.

What is worth pursuing and what each one actually provides.

04

Where the work actually is

SAM.gov navigation, why sources sought matter more than RFPs, and subcontracting as the realistic first path.

AI-assisted capture strategy as a business workflow: opportunity research, qualification, evidence verification, human review, and capture planning. This is not prompt training.

You leave with your 90-day plan.

Optional follow-up office hour

An open group working session. Bring your questions and work through them alongside the cohort. This is a group session, not a private consultation.

Wednesday, October 28, 2026 · 6:00 to 7:00 PM ET

$49 USD per person, booked individually. The session runs only if at least one participant books by the Friday before.

Format and what is expected

One live half-day intensive delivered through Google Meet, with pre-work to complete beforehand and four guided working modules during the session. An optional paid follow-up office hour is offered the week after.

Sessions are not recorded. Meeting notes are provided after the session.

Participants are responsible for attending the live intensive, completing the pre-work by the stated deadline, and providing accurate business information. The session is not repeated, and a recording is not available.

Before the intensive, have an AI assistant you already use ready to go. Any AI assistant works, free or paid, and you do not need a paid plan for this cohort. The course teaches the capture and business process, not prompt engineering or any specific AI tool.

Who is teaching it

Jennifer Simmons spent 19 years running federal programs at FEMA, HHS, USCIS, VA, and USPS before founding JSAI Consulting. She has read these packages from the government side of the desk, so she can tell you how yours will actually be read. AI is used throughout the sessions, and never in place of your own judgment.
